Richmond Hill, GA -- Wildcats’ volleyball squared off in a doubleheader against Southeast Bulloch and Calvary Day, defeating both squads.

They first defeated the Yellow Jackets 2-0.

In the first set, the Wildcats would win convincingly 25-14.

In the second, they would take a 21-15 lead before the Yellow Jackets tied it up at 24, causing them to have to go beyond 25 points to get a two-point victory.

The Wildcats would eventually win 27-25, sweeping the Yellow Jackets.

Next up, were the Cavaliers.

The Wildcats would also not allow them to win a set, defeating them 25-15 in the first and 25-17 in the second.

Wildcats head coach Tory Wright credited multiple players for their efforts in their flawless victories on Thursday.

“Carson Reeves had some amazing swings and blocks. Some of her best by far this season,” Reeves said after the game. “I was pretty proud of Rory Schuler transitioning to being a defensive specialist this season, but I put her back in as a setter like the last two years and she’s gotten over 1000 assists. Abby LeVines had a really great games with a lot of good kills and digs.”

Raising their record to 6-4, the Wildcats’ four-game spell would come to an end after dropping contests to Savannah Art, St. Vincent’s, Hilton Head Prep (SC), and May River (SC).

“We went and played some tough teams in our last two playdates, and it came down to us making silly mistakes,” Wright said. “We still had some of those in these matches, but we definitely cleaned it up and worked more as a team.”

The Wildcats next will go to Brunswick to face Brunswick High School at 5 p.m. and Glynn Academy at 6 p.m. on Aug. 31.
