Richmond Hill High School fell 12-0 to visiting Effingham County on Friday in a Region 2-AAAAAA football game.

The loss dropped RHHS to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the region and into a three-way tie with the Rebels and Bradwell Institute for the No. 2 through 4 seeds. 

It was unclear Friday how the tiebreaker might work, since RHHS owns a win over BI and a loss to Effingham, which in turn lost to Bradwell. 

The Georgia High School Association rules say that when three teams are tied and there is room for all three teams in the state playoffs, then the region decides the seeding.

The top four teams from each region advance to the state playoffs. The top two finishers host a home playoff game.

Glynn Academy (7-3) won the region, going 4-0 after Friday's 42-21 win over Bradwell.
