If I am wanting to know how to operate about anything, I go to YouTube and most likely the answer I am looking for is there. For instance, the other day I wanted to change my sprinkler system settings but had forgotten the instructions the installer had went over with me (It has been almost 2 years). So, what did I do? I looked up the information on YouTube where a gentleman went over the process step by step. I have done this numerous times with home projects which were so helpful and, to be honest, would not have been able to be done without it.
Now I will admit that if I needed help in resetting a sprinkler system, I wouldn’t find the answer in the Bible, God’s Word. But if I needed to know how to be patient in doing so, I would get help there. The truth of the matter is that if I need help or information about any part of my spiritual journey, I can find it in the Bible.
Paul, in his letter to Timothy, taught him these truths about the scriptures. It reads like this from 2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and raining in righteousness”.
So, if you want to know any information that will help you grow in your faith, know what to say, do, or think about, the Bible will direct you down the right road.
The problem is that we have a tendency to go other places first before we consult God through His Word when the answer is right there for us to find.
This is why it is so important to read and study God’s Word regularly because many times the answers to our questions are already stored in our minds because we have been diligent in knowing His Word.
So, continue to use YouTube where it can be helpful but, more importantly, learn to use God’s Word in the most important areas of your life as you grow in your faith.
