Needing direction
pastor corner

I was recently near Atlanta looking for a particular place of which I had been before, but it had been a while. I knew I was close, and things looked familiar, but I wasn’t quite sure. It was an easy fix because I just asked my friend Siri, and I was there in a few minutes. The truth of the matter is that if I would have went in circles for the rest of the day the only consequence would have been that I would have been late for a meeting.

There are other directions if we get wrong will lead to heavy consequences. For instance, the scriptures teach us that there is only one road that leads to eternal life and that road is Jesus. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I am the way”. If someone chooses a different road, then the scriptures tell us that they will experience eternal spiritual death.

There are other decisions that even believers make, that are made without considering what God’s Word teaches and there can be negative consequences. God’s Word is written to give us direction. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”. Let me give you an example: someone decides to not follow God’s wisdom with their finances and then they get into financial trouble.

God gives direction in every situation, so take the time to look in His Word and find it.
