Face life’s struggles with the Bible
pastor corner

All over the world people struggle through life trying to find their way. They look to others to help them along, yet they fail to find their way.

All people need to understand that God has the answers for every person, if they will just investigate his book. It is a marvelous book that is given by the one who created man and provided his way to live in heaven throughout eternity. It is a book that can make struggles easier to bare, one that has no equal.

Notice these passages, Psalm 119:105, 130, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”

If one will let the word of God light their path they will fi d life easier to bear. Those of the world spend their time worrying about tomorrow, looking for peace and never finding it, and many end up never being happy.

Those who are wise enough to allow God’s word to be their compass through life come to know true peace and happiness. The light of God’s word will bring one to know how to think of the next life and not be preoccupied with the present. It shows the love God has for mankind (John 3:16).

It illuminates the Savior who gave himself for man: “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. Th s commandment have I received of my Father (John 10:17, 18).”

It will aid man to break the darkness of sin and worldliness and to see clearly the way to a better life. God’s plan for man’s redemption through Christ is found in the Bible.

In the book of Acts one will fi d how people developed faith by God’s word (Rom. 10:17), they then repented of their sins, willing to confess the name of Christ as the Son of God and were immersed in water for the forgiveness of their sins (Acts 2:2247, 8:36-39).

When one takes the time to read and obey God’s plan, they will realize that this life is not as important as the next. And therefore, they will start living for eternity and not just tomorrow.

Paul wrote, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: (Colossians 3:1-17). So many have set their affections on the things of this world, not realizing how unstable and fragile those things really are.

God’s word is for all men. Those who are struggling with life will see God’s plan. The Bible shows that one should study to develop faith (Rom. 10:17) to turn from sins (Luke 13:3) to be willing to confess Jesus as the Son of God (Matt. 10:32, 33) to be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) and to live for God all the days of their lives (Rev. 2:10b).

Those who open the book, read it, study it and obey it, will be able to find their way in this life despite what comes their way for they will know they have found the way to heaven.
