Staff reports

It was cold and rainy Saturday in Pembroke, but according to organizers that didn’t dampen the spirits of those attending the town’s annual Christmas parade and celebration.

"The weather was awful, but the crowd was wonderful," said Shanna Davis, the county 4-H agent who puts together the event.

"The Extension staff would like to thank everyone, vendors, participants, volunteers and spectators, for toughing it out and supporting the parade," Davis said.
