Polk Road repairs in Ellabell begin next week
road work

Bryan County Public Works is contracting with East Coast Asphalt to make repairs to portions of Polk Road in preparation for a full repaving project in the future.

Work is expected to begin the week of April 25 and will last approximately 60 days.

Thirty-three sections of the roadway, south of Highway 204, are planned to be removed to the base layer and rebuilt, which will require single lane closures.

No complete closures are planned and homeowners will have access to their homes at all times, though delays should be expected.

Construction will happen during the normal working hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, but work outside those hours may be required.
