Bryan County unveils new website
Bryan County website

Bryan County commissioners got their first look at the county’s new website at their Aug. 9 meeting.

Still located at www.bryancountyga.org, the updated website is more colorful and easier to navigate than the old site.

“We’re moving to having as much information online as possible,” said County Administrator Ben Taylor. “The next phase will have even more services available.”

Online payments now include vehicle registration renewals, property taxes, traffic tickets and obtaining a business license. Open records requests, permit applications and job applications can also be done online now.

“We’re really trying to move to less of a paperwork burden both for taxpayers and for us,” Taylor said.

Invitations to bid on country projects are also available online.

“That ensures that we’re being as transparent as possible,” Taylor said. “Any company can check and see what we’re looking for.”

Taylor said most of the redesign work was done in-house, although the county did change website providers.

“Our staff worked on the transition and streamlined some of our applications and documents,” he said. “We also gathered pictures from a few people in the community for the visual content.”

Taylor also said the next step is to have everything linked to fillable pdf forms that can be submitted online and individual department pages will continue to be updated.
