Laura and Larry Lee, residents of the Cove, are the latest recipients of the Richmond Hill Garden Club's Yard of the Month.
The Lees came to Richmond Hill in 2000, when Larry was assigned to Fort Stewart, as Sergeant Major of Advanced Troops.
Their yard is anchored and shaded by a large, beautiful oak tree. Directly in front of the oak is a large bed filled with blooming perennials: agapanthus, society garlic, elephant ears and even a chrysanthemum, usually thought of as a fall blooming plant.
Laura is the head gardener at her house and she insists that gardening is not work, but soothing therapy.
The Garden Club congratulates the couple for a yard that "is a refreshing oasis amid the summer heat of June."
