The Richmond Hill Historical Society is offering a free open house of its museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
Visitors will be able to see new displays, interpretive panels, photos and artifacts depicting life on Byran Neck over the years, including Native Americans, African-American heritage, rice cultivation, plantations, the Civil War and the Henry Ford era, including industries such as fishing, shrimping, oystering and moonshining.
A reception from 5 to 8 p.m. will follow.
