The Pembroke Garden Club installed new officers last month for the new year beginning this month.

Carla Godwin of Black Creek was installed as president and Martha Arnold of Pembroke became treasurer.

Joyce Fowler, longtime club member, performed the installation.

Diane Thomson, outgoing president, had served five years, and was present to wish both new officers well.

Godwin said she has a number of ideas to make the club more active and to gain new members.
