I recently watched the classic Christmas movie, “Miracle on 34th Street.” At the end of the movie, there was a campaign to get support for believing in Santa Claus.
From billboards to buttons came the question, “Do you believe?”
People from all over New York City rallied to proclaim, “We believe!”
Isn’t this what Christmas really comes down to — believing in a savior who came into the world to offer salvation?
As in the movie with Santa’s existence being challenged, so, too, in our world Jesus Christ’s existence as the messiah is being challenged or just ignored.
Maybe what we need is a campaign in support of believing in Jesus for who he said he was — the savior and the son of God.
Maybe we all over the world who believe ought to rally and cry out with our own, “We believe!”
