Libraries offering summer programs

The Pembroke Public Library and Richmond Hill Public Library are offering a summer of fun and excitement with the "Vacation Reading Club." Children can sign up for reading entertainment than can take them anywhere and everywhere. No tickets are needed, just an imagination.

Children are invited to come in and read for fun, and prizes too. In addition, starting Wednesday, May 30, join the Pembroke and Richmond Hill libraries for the first of their "Vacation Reading Programs." You can visit either library for a complete schedule of all their summer programs.

The following is a schedule of what’s coming up soon in Pembroke on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Bryan County Elementary School and in Richmond Hill at 2 p.m. at Richmond Hill High School:

Cliff Patton with puppets, magic and much more is scheduled for May 30. On June 6, Jamie Keena with music and song to set toes tapping and on June 13, Arthur Atsma with magic to amaze you.

Note: The Bryan County Libraries in Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.
