Hurricane awareness
The Bryan County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting hurricane awareness briefings for the 2010 Hurricane Season. The first briefing will be conducted in North Bryan on July 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bryan County EMS Headquarters, 2995 Hwy. 204, Ellabell. A second briefing will be held in South Bryan on July 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bryan County Administration Building on Captain Matthew Freeman Drive. The public is encouraged to attend.

Jubilee tour
The Jubilee Singers and Ringers of Tucker Methodist Church will be touring the Savannah area this month.
These middle school musicians will present a free program of choral music and handbells at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 27, at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church, 12965 Highway 144, just west of the Publix shopping center.

Church revival
Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Hill will host its annual revival at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, June 23-25.
The guest evangelist will be the Rev. Larry Broxton, pastor of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Savannah.

Art classes
The city Of Pembroke is holding beginning art classes on Thursdays, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the J. Dixie Harn Community Center. Carolyn Morgan is teaching the class. The cost is $15 for a six-week session.

Summer Food

America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Summer Food Service Program in Bryan County is ongoing.
Meals will be provided free-of-charge from 4-5:30 p.m. at 362 Wade Carter Road, Ellabell, to children enrolled in the summer program without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Teacher appreciation
All ladies are invited to Carey Hilliard’s Banquet Room, 11111 Abercorn St., on Wednesday, June 23, at noon for a buffet lunch for $10.25.

Corinth VBS
Corinth Baptist Church, 19536 Hwy. 144, Richmond Hill, will have Saddle Ridge Ranch vacation Bible school, June 21-25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Family night will be Friday with supper after the program. There will be classes for all ages, including adults

Thrift store
St. Elizabeth’s Attic--Thrift and Gift Store is now open and has jewelry, appliances, clothes, furniture, books, children’s toys and games.
It is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.

Praise in the Park
A Praise in the Park Festival will be held Saturday, June 26, from 4-8 p.m. at Hendrix Park. Praise in the Park is a festival, reaching people, young and old, for Christ.
Praise in the Park is a celebration with music, dance, fun and games, to offer a glimpse of who we are and the work and service of the church with a goal to become acquainted with each other and our community. Bring a blanket or chair.

Upward Flag Football K5-12th grade boys and girls upward cheerleading for K5-sixth grade girls. Early Registration cost is $75 and deadline is July 4, cost after July 4 is $100. Art show

Bryan County artists are now being featured at the new Bryan County Administrative Complex. The show is in the main lobby and is accessible to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show will run through September.

Beulah Baptist VBS
Beulah Baptist Church of Pembroke presents vacation Bible School Saddle Ridge Ranch for ages 2 years to sixth grade, June 21–25, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The kickoff cookout is Saturday, June 19, from 4-7 p.m. and includes foods, games and hay rides.

Junior Rangers
Fort McAllister State Historic Park will offer Junior Ranger Summer Camp June 28 -- July 2 for children ages 8 to 12. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. The cost of the camp is $70 per child.
Activities will include nature walks, arts and crafts, games, wildlife lessons, canoeing, nature scavenger hunts and much more. The deadline to register is June 18 for the week of June 23.

HAA celebration
The public is invited to stand beside the Hunter Army Airfield military community as it celebrates our nation’s birthday on Friday, July 3, with Hunter’s “Worth Fighting For” Independence Day Celebration. The gates open at 4 p.m.  
This family friendly event features a petting zoo, inflatable rides for children, Frisbee dog shows, many food and beverage vendors and three bands, including the Third Infantry Division’s Jazz Band, Shift-n-Gears and the Midway Allstars.
Also, a dramatic fireworks sequence is schedule for around 9:30 p.m.
Attendees should enter Hunter via the Montgomery Street Gate.
