Armstrong to open new alumni center

What: Armstrong Alumni Center Grand Opening. Armstrong Atlantic State University will host a grand opening reception and ribbon cutting to celebrate the new Alumni Center in historic Burnett Hall. As one of Armstrong’s eight original buildings on the university’s Southside campus, Burnett Hall serves as a strategic venue for the Alumni Center. The Alumni Center will also house the Alumni Affairs Office, which is dedicated to preserving Armstrong’s past, while building on the future.

 

When: Friday, June 6, 5:30 p.m.

 

Where: Burnett Hall, Armstrong Atlantic State University, 11935 Abercorn St., Savannah.  

 

More Information: Just inside the lobby of Burnett Hall, the new center will be the centerpiece of alumni life on campus. The grand opening will kick off with an official ribbon cutting and will include past Armstrong Alumni Association presidents. A highlight of the ribbon cutting will be an announcement about future developments of alumni spaces on campus. The ribbon cutting will be followed by a reception featuring local musicians, food and a tour of the new facilities and the back patio leading into the arboretum.
