Wildcats earn silver at Lovett Block Party

Atlanta, GA -- The Richmond Hill Wildcats volleyball team visited Atlanta from Sept. 24 to Sept. 25 for the Lovett Block Party.

They returned to Richmond Hill after winning the silver bracket.

The Wildcats played five games in two days, going 3-2.

Their two losses came against Pope and Lovett.

Pope is ranked No. 9 and Lovett is ranked No. 32.

In their wins, the Tory Wright-led Wildcats only lost one set, going a combined 6-1 over the three games.

Their victories came against St. Francis, Asheville School (NC), and the Westminster.

The silver bracket-clinching triumph over Westminster came as an upset as they are the No. 41 team in Georgia compared to the Wildcats' No. 83 statewide rank.

The Wildcats are now 16-12 (3-2 Region 2-6A) on the season with eight games to spare in two weeks in the regular season.
