The Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association donated $500 to the Richmond Hill High School tennis program on Thursday.

The RHATA plays matches on Sunday nights on the high school courts. Association members said they wanted to give something back to RHHS for using the courts.

The donation will be put toward new nets or other needs, according to the RHHS tennis coaches. A new net ranges from $180 to $250 and can last four or five years, said Richmond Hill Middle School tennis coach Matt Amason, one of several coaches on hand for the check presentation.
