Most of society puts a value on people. Some get a high value mark because of their success or position in life. Some get a low value because of their failures or position in life. For instance, if a person is a doctor or teacher they most likely have a high value but if a person is a janitor or a garbage collector they are usually looked at as a lower value.
If a person is in prison, that person with some will have zero value.
The truth of the matter is that in God’s eyes all people are of value. He demonstrated this by sending His Son Jesus Christ as a Savior to all people who will accept this free gift of salvation. John 3:16 actually tells us that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The Apostle Paul reiterated this truth by saying it this way in Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Jesus Christ.” As followers of Jesus, we should value others as God sees them.
Remember, we all matter to God and He has gifted us in order for us to make a difference in the place in this world where He has allowed us to be. If we submit to His plan for us, we can be a success and we can bring honor and praise to our heavenly Father.
