Bryan County softball placed six players on the Region 2-AA All-Region team.

Shelby Barfield, a junior pitcher who has committed to Georgia Southern, was selected to the first team.

Freshman infielder Kelsey Leggett and senior outfielder Alayna Williams were selected to the second team, while seniors Alyssa Edwards (OF), Briana Campbell (OF) and Julianne Brown (SS), received honorable mention.

Coach Al Butler said it will be difficult to replace the senior leadership of Williams, Edwards, Campbell and Brown.

Bryan County finished the season at 16-19, 10-9 in the region. The Redskins made the state tournament, which Butler said some people did not think would happen, after reaching the Final Four a year ago.

The Region 2-AAAAAA All-Region team has not been announced yet, according to Richmond Hill Coach Angie Hummeldorf.
