Lyndsey Boone, who Coach Angie Hummeldorf says hasn’t pitched much since middle school, struck out three and gave up two hits as Richmond Hill beat Bradwell Institute 12-0 in four innings at home Tuesday night.

“She had some shoulder issues so she’s primarily played first base all through high school,” Hummeldorf said of the senior. “But she’s been wanting to pitch again and she did a nice job. It’s was great for her to be able to do that as a senior, especially at home.”

Senior MacKenzie White led the Wildcats at the plate, going 2-for-2 with three RBI. Chenzie Schuman added two RBI, while Kyra Byrd, Adrianna Garrett, Bella DuBois and Haley Taylor added one each.

Richmond Hill, now 5-4 overall and 2-0 in Region 2-AAAAAA, also won Monday at Bradwell by a score of 15-0 in three innings. Hannah Fitzgerald racked up six RBI on three hits, including a home run, while Madelyn Gorsuch added a three-run homer. Alaina Lucas gave up one run and struck out five for the win.

The Wildcats are at Bradwell today at 5 p.m.

Bryan County, 4-5 overall and 2-1 in Region 2-AA, was scheduled to host Bacon County Tuesday night but the game was moved to September due to wet field conditions. The Redskins are at Jenkins today at 4:30.
