Bryan County High School’s softball picked up a 14-10 win over Bradwell on Monday night in Pembroke.
“We just wanted to get back to having fun and remain positive
with this young team,” BCHS Coach Jason Rountree said..
The Lady Skins only start three seniors and are still working to
build chemistry, but the team displayed plenty of offensive firepower to secure
the win.
Sophomore Jayonna Calhoun had 3 hits and sophomore Alisha
Fabin added a home run to the mix.
Amanda Hendrix also added to the offensive onslaught with a
couple of hits. Junior Kelsey Leggett picked up the win on the mound and
Roundtree said it was truly a team effort.
Bryan County will have region contests against Bacon County and
St. Vincent’s Academy to round out the week.
