Both Bryan County teams will be back in action on Sept. 3.
The Richmond Hill Wildcats will return to the field off a bye week to square off against the Burke County Bears in Waynesboro for a non-region matchup.
The Wildcats were originally slated to play Wayne County this week, but it was cancelled.
So now, they will travel to Waynesboro on Friday.
The Wildcats are 0-1 on the season after dropping their season opener at Beaufort on Aug. 20.
Friday’s game will be the Bears’ first contest of the season.
The last time these teams competed was in 2009 where the Bears prevailed 42-7 and the Wildcats are 0-6 all-time against the Bears.
Friday’s game will kick off at 7:30.
The Bryan County Redskins will head to East Dublin to face the East Laurens Falcons on Friday in a non-region game.
Both teams are 1-1 this season after the Redskins lost at Lincoln County 22-0 and Falcons losing to Johnson County 7-0.
The Redskins and Falcons played each other a season ago with the latter prevailing convincingly 33-0, raising East Laurens’ record to 3-0 all-time against Bryan County.
So, the Redskins will be out for revenge on the Falcons.
