Things don’t always go the way we would like them to and sometimes the road we are traveling is filled with pain, suffering, heartache and even death. We find ourselves asking, “why Lord?”
One problem we have is that we, unlike God, cannot see into our future, but also, we do not know what is really for our ultimate benefit.
On the other hand, God has foreknowledge and always knows what is best for us. Paul reminds us of this truth in Romans 8:28 where he says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
We know that it is not easy to put our trust in His ability to lead us.
Job, a faithful believer in God, went through a lot of horrible things of which he didn’t understand at the time why they were happening to him. Proving that he had total confidence in God, look what he said in Job 13:15: “Though he slay me yet will I still trust in him.”
The big question is, have you gotten to the place in your life where you are willing and able to put your full trust in God who loves and cares for you and your future deeply?
