Name: Andrea Catter

Age: 31 years old

Title: Family Medicine PA-C for St. Joseph’s Candler (Heartwood), owner of a concierge aesthetics practice, After Hours Aesthetics

Background: “Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I am a proud first-generation college graduate whose path into medicine has been shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to improving patients' lives.

I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and continued there to obtain a Master of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. During my time in Gainesville, I conducted research at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center focused on spinal cord injuries, an experience that deepened my understanding of rehabilitation, neurophysiology, and the challenges faced by patients recovering from serious injury.

I went on to attend South University in Savannah, Georgia, where I earned my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. My combined background in physiology, kinesiology, and clinical research informs my approach to patient care, blending scientific rigor with a genuine dedication to helping others.”

Future: “Being named to the Bryan County 20 Under 40 list is both a tremendous honor and a meaningful responsibility. This recognition represents more than a personal milestone—it is a reflection of the community that has shaped me and a reminder of the work still ahead.

To me, this honor is about continuing to motivate and uplift the next generation of professionals in our county. I want younger people to see what is possible and to know that their goals are within reach, no matter where they start.

As a medical professional, I believe deeply in the value of trust. Patients deserve practitioners they can rely on—providers who truly listen and make them feel heard, respected, and cared for. Building that kind of relationship is at the heart of everything I do. I am equally committed to preventative health.

My hope is that members of my community have access to as much information as possible, so they feel empowered and comfortable seeking medical care and getting the answers they are looking for. Above all, I plan to keep making a positive impact—as a mother and as a medical professional—by serving my community with compassion, dedication, and a genuine desire to help others live healthier lives.”
