Editor, On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I wish to extend congratulations to Richmond Hill attorney Ray C. Smith on his recent appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as judge of the Bryan County State Court.

Judge Smith will be well served by his 39 years of experience in the legal profession, including service as solicitor general for Bryan County and city attorney for Richmond Hill.

Judge Smith’s acceptance of this appointment demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system, and we wish him well in this new position of judicial leadership.
