Wildcat Battalion Visits Patriot’s Point

By Jeffrey Burton, BCN intern.

Richmond Hill High School JROTC cadets visited Patriot’s Point Naval and Maritime Museum near Charleston last Thursday.

Less than a hundred cadets drove via school bus early in the morning to visit its main attraction, the USS Yorktown which is an aircraft carrier that was used by the US Navy from April 15th, 1943 to June 27th, 1970.

This field trip was made by the leadership of the Wildcat Battalion and with the help of the Army instructors from the school.

The field trip was also paid for by fundraisers from the Battalion.
