Coastal Community Christian Church has officially restored its original 1996 name, Ways Station Christian Church. According to a press release, the change honors the church’s 30-year history and the heritage of the Richmond Hill community.

“Returning to the name Ways Station Christian Church is more than simply changing our name, it’s about honoring our history while looking confidently toward the future,” said Shane Therault, Executive Minister and Worship Leader at Ways Station Christian Church.

Located at 10770 Ford Avenue, the church meets in the historic Henry Ford Commissary building, constructed in 1941 to serve the Ford Plantation and surrounding community. Today, that same building continues to exist as a place of worship.
