Turnout in Bryan County during advance voting for the Nov. 8 midterm election has been steady, officials said, with more than 1,452 residents voting in person or by mail through Tuesday at the county’s two early voting sites.

The midterms include high profile races for a number of seats at the federal and state level. There are also four contested school board races in Bryan County which could draw voters to the polls.

The county has 30,711 active registered voters and 14,682 inactive registered voters, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s online data hub for the 2022 general election.

Meanwhile, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office announced Wednesday more than 268,000 voters have cast ballots through the first two days of in-person early voting. That’s a record.

In Bryan County, in-person early voting is at the Richmond Hill Recreation Department on Timber Trail and Pembroke City Hall, and continues through Nov. 4.
