Remembering God’s goodness
pastor corner

Many times, Christians like to say, “God is good, all the time” and “all the time, God is good”.

Words can be cheap without some substance behind them. As a believer, there will be many examples of God’s goodness and the longer we serve the Lord this list will continue to grow.

We need to look back in our past and remember God’s goodness to us. David testifies to doing this in Psalm 77:11 where he says, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago”.

The number one example of God showing His goodness to us is by providing a way for us to be saved from the power and the penalty of sin.

We get to be in a relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ, for now and for eternity.

Another way God shows His goodness to us is by promising to meet our needs and by fulfilling those promises. He never promises to give us everything we ask for but what He determines is best for us.

The Lord brings people into our lives; people that will walk this journey with us. There are those that will encourage us but also will be honest with us when we get off the path.

Look back into your past and thank God for the many instances of His goodness to you and then know that God will continue to show His goodness to you as you continue to serve Him each day.
