Wildlife easement applications due soon

ATHENS - James E. Tillman, Sr., state conservationist for the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service in Georgia recently announced that the 2012 Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program applications are due by Sept. 30 to be considered for funding in 2012 fiscal year.
Applications can be taken at all NRCS offices and USDA Service Centers. WHIP is a program that provides financial incentives to landowners for the development and improvement of high quality habitat that supports significant wildlife populations.
