Randy Bocook Keller Williams Real Estate Team recently announced the February recipient of Richmond Hill’s Greatest award, Father Joseph Smith.

Smith has served as pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church since 2003, when he first came to Bryan County.

Not only does “Father Joe,” as many call him, dedicate his time and energy to parishioners at St. Anne, he also sits on the board at Memorial University Medical Center and serves as an officer at a 24-hour mental-health facility.

“Father Joseph Smith has seen this church grow from 300 families in 2003 to 1,500 families today, and he has led the building project for the wonderful new church we now have in our town,” Randy Bocook said. “He has been an integral part of leading and growing this community that we are lucky enough to call home.”

The award celebrates residents who are committed to making the community a great place to live.

Nominations are accepted for a different resident to be selected every month as an award winner and receive a $100 gift card to a local store or business of the recipient’s choice.

Recipients include those involved with charities, business owners and other members of the community.

The winner is also featured in a video on the Randy Bocook Facebook page.
