Richmond Hill will play Coffee County in the second round of the state Class AAAAAA football playoffs after beating Greenbrier 19-14 on Friday in Evans.
The Wildcats (5-5) got touchdowns from Jamal Polite, Jamari Green and Nathan Vickers.
Polite ran 13 times for 89 yards and a score; Green 10 for 50 yards and the TD and Vickers returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
Jalen Rouse added eight carries for 52 yards. Timmy Fortson was the Wildcats’ leading tackler with nine total tackles. Vickers had six tackles and a sack.
Anthony Salazar was 1 of 3 on extra point attempts.
The Wildcats, the No. 3 seed from Region 2-AAAAAA, led 19-0 at the end of the third quarter before Greenbrier (3-8), scored twice in the final period.
