The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is proud to recognize County Clerk Lori Tyson on her appointment as Secretary of the Georgia County Clerks Association.
Tyson was sworn in by Chairman Infinger during the ACCG Annual Conference, held in Savannah on April 24, 2026. She will serve a two-year term from 2026 through 2028.
“Lori’s leadership, experience, and commitment to public service make her an outstanding choice for this role,” said the Board. “We are proud to see her represent Bryan County at the state level.”
Tyson has served Bryan County for 10 years, beginning her career with the County in 2016. She has held the role of County Clerk since February 2021, where she plays a critical role in supporting the Board of
Commissioners and ensuring transparency and continuity in county government.
“I’ve only lived in Bryan County since Ashley and I got married in 2015, but my family roots run deep here on both my mom and dad’s side,” said Tyson. “Serving as County Clerk is truly an honor for me.”
The Bryan County Clerk is appointed by and reports directly to the Board of Commissioners. In this role, Tyson serves as the official custodian of all records approved by the Board, including meeting minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and contracts. She also provides research support, assists the County Administrator with the preparation and distribution of agendas and commission workbooks, and supports the Board with essential administrative functions.
Tyson joins a distinguished leadership team for the 2026–2028 term. The newly sworn board includes:
