Bryan County High School led visiting Groves 14-0 through three quarters Thursday in a scrimmage halted when the school’s lightning alarm went off.

The stadium was emptied by school officials around 8:20 p.m., but the preseason tuneup was all but over. The two teams had agreed to let ninth graders play the final last quarter.

Both of Bryan County’s touchdowns came in the second quarter. Terron Dixon scored on a 4-yard run with 5:59 remaining in the first half.

The Redskins added a 45-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Stewart to  Damaurius Brewer with 21 seconds left before halftime.

Jack Perry kicked both extra points in the game, which did not include contact on special teams.

Look for more photos Friday.
