Race raises $2,500 for JROTC

More than 120 runners of all ages braved a cold Saturday morning for the sixth annual Resolution Runz 5k and 10k at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.

Many of Richmond Hill’s businesses supported the race as sponsors, and the Resolution Runz raised more than $2,500, for the Richmond Hill High School JROTC.

The overall top male finisher was Ethan Starbird, a RHHS track and cross country runner who completed the 5k in 18:57. Caroline Cameron, a 12-year-old runner at Richmond Hill Middle School, took the rop demale finisher spot with a 23:08 finish.

In the 10k, Ray Bing of Savannah was the top male finisher, running the course in 37:22. And Lori Hunter of Richmond Hill was not too far behind, snagging the top female runner honors with a 42:50 finish.
