Class AAAAA power Ware County downed Richmond Hill High School 28-0 on Friday night in a game delayed by time and again lightning.

The teams attempted a 9:30 p.m. kickoff -- two hours after the regular start time of 7:30 p.m. -- but lightning again forced the game to be stop. Finally, at 10:30 p.m. the teams were able to get the contest in.

The loss is Richmond Hill's first and drops the Wildcats to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in Region 3-AAAAA. Ware County, currently ranked No. 2 in the state, improves to 4-0.
