Summer Shootout hoops camp at BCHS

Registration for the seventh annual Boys and Girls Summer Shootout at Bryan County High School is taking place now. The camp is from June 9-12 and is for boys and girls who will be in grades 2-9 next school year. All applications must be received by June 9.
The registration cost is $35 per child and $30 for each additional family member before May 16. Registration after May 16 is $40 per child and $35 for each additional family member.
In addition, students who register prior to May 16 will receive a free camp shirt. Students may also bring money for snacks as there will be time allowed. Additional players will participate in several individual drills, team drills and games during their camp time. The camp staff will include coaches from the Lady Redskins and current varsity players. For more information contact Coach Mario Mincey at 626-5050. You may pick up forms from Bryan County Middle School front office and drop payment off there as well.

Spring game times two
The football teams at Richmond Hill High School and Richmond Hill Middle School will hold a combination spring football game from 5-8 p.m. May 16 at Henderson Park.
Admission is $3 with proceeds going to both programs.

Robert Sapp Camp
The 34th annual Robert Sapp Baseball Camp is is accepting applications for its summer session July 8-12 at Richmond Hill Park. Camps are from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and are for boys’ ages 7-14.
Kids age 6 may attend if they’re skilled enough to play with the 7-year-old groups. The cost is $130 with team rates available and a $10 discount for five or more players from the same spring or summer league team or travel team.

Flag Day run
Richmond Hill’s local running company, Georgia Game Changers hosting a a free Flag Day Comeback Run at J.F. Gregory Park at 7 a.m. June 14. Participants can run or walk up to 13.1 miles.

Beach Bum Tourney
Tybee Island is hosting the 2014 Extreme Volleyball Professionals Beach Bum Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. The tournament will include professional, amateur, coed and junior beach volleyball players. This family-friendly beach volleyball tournament includes divisions for youth, juniors and adults. The professional segment will feature the Top 10 EVP athletes competing on center court for a $4,000 purse. There are also games, prizes and other events for spectators.
