The first “all-comers” track meet this summer is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 7 at Richmond Hill High School.

The entry fee is $5 per event. There will be three divisions: youth, for grades 2-8; high school; and adult, for 19 and older. Proceeds will go toward improvements to the athletic facilities at the school.

Levi Sybert, track and cross country coach for Richmond Hill, said there were two such meets last year with about 70 participants at each one.

“We really enjoyed the meets last year to see active youth and adults competing for personal growth,” he said. “The support was really inspiring for the sport and the community.”

Participants can choose from the 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200and 4x400 relay, as well as the long jump and shot put.

Sybert said another such meet will be held in August and possibly one in the fall.
