The Richmond Hill volleyball team split with Glynn Academy and Camden County on senior night as Imani Jessamy, Chloe Allen, Alexis Sena, Bailey Gillespie and Keira Petermann played their last regular-season matches at home.

The Wildcats dropped their first Region 2-AAAAAA match of the season to Glynn Academy 19-25, 25-20, 20-25 to start the evening. Jessamy had 14 assists while Gillespie added five kills and six digs. Mackenzie Petermann had 12 kills and four blocks.

“Glynn is always a great matchup,” Coach Taisa Tremble said. “They have a tough offense and their defense really forces us to make smarter and more aggressive decisions. We know what we need to work on and look forward to meeting them again.”

Richmond Hill then beat Camden County 25-9, 18-25, 25-20. Allen had six kills to go along with two block and two aces, while Keria Petermann had two aces and three blocks. Sena chipped in three blocks and two kills.

“Camden is another tough opponent that we enjoy playing,” Tremble said. “The girls did a great job making some adjustments from the previous match. More consistent defense allowed us to utilize our hitters better.”

The Wildcats, now 13-8 overall and 3-1 in region play, face Brunswick and Effingham County at Effingham starting at 6 p.m. Thursday.
