Postseason action abounds for high schools this week

It will be a busy week for Bryan County and Richmond Hill athletes as state playoffs and sectionals continue in several sports.

Things kick off Tuesday at 6 p.m. when the Richmond Hill boys’ soccer team plays at Houston County at 6 p.m. The Richmond Hill girls’ team is in action Wednesday at Evans County starting at 5:30 p.m. and the Bryan County girls’ soccer team plays Thursday at 5 p.m. at East Laurens in Dublin.

On Friday, both high school baseball teams play doubleheaders. Richmond Hill hosts Evans starting at 4 p.m. and Bryan County is at Metter at 4:30 p.m. The “if necessary” games Saturday are scheduled for 1 p.m. at Richmond Hill and 2 p.m. at Metter.

Both track and field teams are at sectionals Saturday, with the Wildcats at Heritage High School in Conyers and the Redskins at Fitzgerald.

Richmond Hill golfer Bailey Davis will be at sectionals on May 2 at Heron Bay Golf Club in Conyers.
