BCHS well-represented on all-region football team

Four Bryan County High School football players have received first-team All-Region 2-AA honors.

Another five Redskins were named to the second team, and two more received honorable mention.

Here are the BCHS players honored:

FIRST TEAM

Christian Thomas, kicker; Malik Bostick, defensive line; Markus Johnson, linebacker; Quran George, defensive back

SECOND TEAM

Kimonti Murray and Willie Lavant, running backs; Conner Schaffer and D.J. Winters, offensive line; T.C. Pippen, defensive back

HONORABLE MENTION

Devonte Anderson, running back; Clayton Sullivan, offensive line; Nathaniel Van Ryswyk, linebacker

Also, the region announced its All-Academic team. Here are BCHS’s representatives:

Pippen, Johnson, Cortez Graves, Brandon Jones, Marshall Livingston, Gage Hagan, Shane Sheppard, Charlie Flint, Josh Bell, Zachary Lanier

John Wesley Kennedy of Benedictine was named the region’s player of the year.
