Richmond Hill 40, Jenkins 36

Richmond Hill's girls overcame a slow start on opening night of the Southside Classic at Windsor Forest High School to hang on for a 40-36 win over Jenkins High School. The Lady Wildcats (1-0) were led by Aliyah Johnson's 15 points and Tay Reynolds added six of her eight points in the final period to help hold off the pesky Lady Warriors (0-1).

Jenkins 52, Richmond Hill 42

The Wildcats were outscored 20-8 in the final stanza against Jenkins High School on Friday night and lost their opening game of the 2009-2010 campaign to the Warriors 52-42.
Richmond Hill (0-1) was led by Spencer Buck's 11 points, nine of which came in an early second-period burst of 3 pointers, but the Wildcats went cold in the end to take the loss.
