The annual Sunbury 5K Road Race is Saturday. The run, Presented by Merritt & Grinstead, Attorneys at Law, Hinesville, starts at 9 a.m. with packet pick-up at Merchants Wharf Condos.
The race starts at 10 a.m., and the fee is $30. Participants can sign up by going to www.fleetfeetsavannah.com/sunbury 5-5k.
“This is a really scenic course that winds through Sunbury neighborhoods and the Fort Morris Historic Site.  It’s a very popular race since the setting is so beautiful and peaceful,” event organizer Patrick Boyle with Sunbury Charities said.
Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Wounded Warriors Project. For information, email Maria Center at mcenter@diabetes.org.
