There were 3 big news stories this past week that were written about or talked about a lot. We had the 250th anniversary of this country, the World Cup and Taylor Swift’s wedding.

There were those who had a lot of interest to those who showed little interest. For instance, I was very interested in our country’s anniversary, then had some interest in the World Cup, and had absolutely no interest in a celebrity’s wedding. With some, the wedding was at the top of their list. By the way, I don’t see a problem with having interest in any of these.

However, there were many stories that should have been the top stories all around the world. These stories should bring excitement, joy, and hope. You ask, what are these stories? They are the stories of new life brought about by faith in Jesus Christ. In the scriptures, found in Luke 15, we are told that even the angels in heaven take notice and celebrate when a sinner repents of their sins.

So, what gets your attention and what makes you celebrate?
