Letter to the editor: Show some respect for Veterans Memorial
Letter to the Editor generic

Editor:

Quite often instead of driving into the traffic of Hinesville, we opt to go to Richmond Hill (easy on easy off I-95) to shop. Sometimes if the traffic isn’t heavy we swing into Gregory Park to greet, honor, and say a prayer at the Veterans Memorial there, to pay tribute to those who served our GREAT nation and especially for those who paid the ‘ultimate price’ during that service.

Recently this ‘hallowed ‘ground has unfortunately become an exercise platform for some and a playground for their children to climb on while they go thru their routines.

Hopefully this is just a lapse in judgement rather than intentional disrespect.

Regardless, it’s a practice that should be curtailed.
