Letter to the editor: Reader gets laughs from BCN editorial pages
LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor:

Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed last week’s BC News. The editorial pages were chock full of chuckles and even a few belly laughs. Even the Honorable D. Yarborough was funnier than he has been for a minute. Thanks for that.

The funniest bit though, which warmed the cockles of my heart (whatever and wherever those might be, they be warmed) was to learn of some of our own Georgia politicians signing on to the CPTE (Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections!) The column notes that this is an effort by the always nonpartisan Jimmy Carter Center “to advance peace and health worldwide.”

It is awesome to be launching world peace through principles and trusted elections instead of just through Miss America contests! Right here in Georgia no less. It is inspirational to know they all agree to adhere to the rules and regulations and refrain from “knowingly” propagating falsehoods about the election process. Since they unknowingly produced the evidence gathered by the ceiling camera showing the special election squad retrieving several large rolling crates of (how many?) ballots from under the draped tables after all the other ballot counters and observers had been dismissed from the premises in Atlanta while the counting was “paused” due to a leaky pipe, it must not qualify as a falsehood.

It was also clearly not the fault of that special squad when that particular collection of ballots resulted in a vertical launch of the vote tally in favor of Mr. Biden, giving him a resounding 10,000 vote victory in the great state of Georgia, unfortunately these minor bits of well documented history have never been evaluated in any trial in a court of law. Sour grapes you say? Funny….but not funny ha ha…..

Oh also, they all agree to denounce any attempt to intimidate, harass (with police/ FBI/IRS action?), threaten or incite violence against anyone from Independence Hall within hearing distance of the Liberty Bell! Also included is agreement for making any claims of discovering evidence to the contrary after election results have been certified only in accordance with the law. This is must be good because we all know that anything that is true will be known immediately and any facts that are uncovered by expensive, diligent and time consuming research, cyber and detective work must be false because it takes too long to totally find them out. This would also apply to things like the contents of laptops abandoned in repair shops and whatnots of that sort. In fact new laws in this regard are currently being crafted at the federal level… look out, it seems that some groups are just more adept at lawfare than others. What could possibly go wrong?

Our local election officials are working diligently to make the upcoming vote process secure, accurate and more convenient. Please y’all, get out and vote this election and check your ballot after it prints out before they scan it. We are using the same machines as last time. You know; the ones that could not connect to the internet because they didn’t have a cable plugged into them. Vote to preserve your freedom to just say NO!
