Are you using tech for good?
pastor corner

We live in a time in history where technology has changed the average person’s daily routine. Most people are either on their cell phones or computers a lot of the day.

But this technology can be used as a tool for good or a tool for evil.

We can send emails that encourage others – I just received one this morning that spoke directly to a present need. We can copy and/or send posts that educate or help others through the day. We can use technology in order to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

But we can use this same technology just as easy to spread hatred, view pornography or to vent unrighteous anger. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you can tarnish your character and destroy your opportunity to witness.

Jesus instructed us in Matthew 5:14 by saying that we “are the light of the earth. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

The truth of the matter is that when you go onto Facebook, Twitter, etc., what you say definitely is not hidden but reflects who you are.

So the next time you use technology, make sure the end result will be for the glory of God.
