The writer of Proverbs 18:22 reminds us that as a husband we should appreciate our wife.

It reads like this: “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.”

I can’t speak for all the wives who are in our world, but I can speak about one.

Good is not a strong enough word, it should rather be great or fantastic.

First, she has put up with me for more than 45 years with all of my weaknesses. God is still working on me but so is she.

Also, she is an excellent cook and in being so, she attempts to help me eat healthier. She tries to keep me more organized and makes up for my disorganization.

She is the one who shows unconditional love to her kids and grandkids. She carries these concerns to the Lord regularly.

She has been a partner in ministry for over 45 years and goes beyond her call of duty serving in various ministries; putting in 30+hours per week in these ministries besides working a full-time job.

She lives a totally selfless life putting everyone ahead of herself.

I don’t show my appreciation enough and I don’t thank the Lord for her often enough. What about you who have been blessed with a wonderful wife?
