The Richmond Hill Lions Club met Dec. 11 at the Richmond Hill City Center in J.F. Gregory Park for the annual Christmas dinner party and auction.

The club had two new members join its ranks. The new members inducted into membership by President Rick Gardner were Patricia Hardy, sponsored by Carrol Hardy, and Thurman Salter, sponsored by Alice Chance. The sponsors pinned the official Lions Club pin on each new member.

The evening featured entertainment and many items for auction that was planned by the Christmas party/auction committee. Serving on the committee were Rose and Ronny Gerrald, Bob and Chris Berry, Jane Walden and Fred Warnell.

After a dinner of turkey and ham with all the trimmings prepared and served by the City Center chef and staff, everyone sang Christmas carols at various times during the event to accompaniment by David Butler. Also, Terry Nedza decorated District Gov. Chip Nedza, Mae Hall decorated Bobby Hall, and Diane Green decorated Ken Green as snowmen to represent the season.

Warnell served as auctioneer. Door prizes were also won by many in attendance.
