The Richmond Hill Community Theatre has chosen an upcoming rising star for a one-time $500 scholarship in honor of one of its former presidents, long-time member and dear friend Dawn Berry.

This year’s recipient of the Dawn Harrington Berry Spotlight Award is Samantha Shipman. According to the Theatre group, she has demonstrated the qualities of persistence,diligence, strong character, participated with the Richmond Hill Community Theatre or other creative activities, and has a love of giving back to others and her community.

Shipman will be attending Georgia Southern University and is a cast member of RHCT’s upcoming August 22 and 29 performances of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” dramatized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S. Lewis.
